There are only four or five real leading manufacturers in kitchen furniture industry in Germany and Italy. The whole world is observing the materials they use. As for boards for kitchen furniture, such conventional materials as fireproofing board, lacquer and solid wood board etc are the mainstream. Few brand makes break-through in materials. It is unlikely that any new materials will appear in kitchen furniture circle in the next one or two years, while in other circles such as desks and wardrobe, the materials are changed rapidly. For example, crystal board was used to make desks and chairs at first, and later was applied for door panel of kitchen furniture. Nevertheless not all new materials are suitable for production of kitchen furniture. I use pure natural materials as well in designing other products. In Thailand I once used a plant similar to vine to make work and to form a very plain style.
